Everyday Images
Saturday scenery:
Ok, the following pictures were completely taken on Sunday, Mother´s Day but in my defense 1) we were originally planning on going hiking on Saturday 2) the scenery would have looked exactly or very nearly exactly the same if we had been at the park on Saturday rather than Sunday and 3) I don´t have any good Saturday scenery pictures so I switched to Sunday scenery:
We were at Cedar Cliff Falls in Greene County
Current Project
Get pretty flowers...
...into containers and place on our vertical fence.
Green
There´s so much green in the garden... Romaine lettuce leaves in pots and in both of my garden plots, G1 and G2.
Cilantro all over in G1 (my original garden plot). The short plants in the back are Romaine lettuce plants.
I was going to go out and take more pictures in both garden areas but it started to rain :).
On my plate:
Over the weekend, pizza was on my plate. I had pizza Friday, Saturday and Sunday š
Monday called for... not pizza!!
I had purchased a tray of manicotti from the Sam´s Club ready to be baked refrigerated item area for a family member who recently had surgery. However, the family member said he had plenty of food on hand and didn´t need anything so I didn´t deliver the manicotti. It was in the fridge.... perhaps a couple of days past its ¨best by¨ date. It worked out well to make it for Donnie and me as Alyssa had requested a dish that Donnie doesn´t care for- eggroll in a bowl. I had both some manicotti and some eggroll in a bowl. Odd combo for sure and not exactly easy on the eyes but they tasted really good together!
Miniature
How cute is this little Mike´s Hot Honey container? Clearly it was too cute to pass up at the grocery store. I bought this lil´ bottle for Abby.
Tower
Speaking of honey, how cute is this (somewhat) tower like ¨sweet¨ structure inside the Farm on Central?
The products and the display are adorable and I´d like one of each :).

Just a sucker for lighted decor... I found these bows at Aldi and too bad there were only two. Every newel post on the patio would have one if there´d been more to purchase at Aldi.
The ribbon attached to the back of the bows (with which to hang them) was really short and would not come close to fitting over the newel post cap so I... improvised. I´m not crazy about how it looks so I may change it but I accomplished my goal of hanging them.

Ok I am obsessed with those lit bows- I understand what you are saying- I would've bought a ton for the backyard- I am a sucker for patriotic decor and add lights? I am a goner- ha!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Holly! Glad I am not the only one who really liked them! Patriotic decor is so fun!
DeleteThose bows are fabulous as are your beautiful scenery photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanne!
DeleteI love a little jar and I love when a store display is really cute. I swooned over a coffee shop/gift shop recently and both kids bought my Mother's Day gift there. Your garden is going to be fabulous! I should get out my 4th of July stuff for Memorial Day and at least do my mantel.
ReplyDeleteThat’s the great thing about patriotic decor- it can be left out for Memorial Day through July 4th :). That’s cool that your boys bought you gifts at a store nearby that you really like.
DeleteThe scenery is great no matter what day it was!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dara! That’s how I looked at it :).
DeleteThose boys are super cute - black zipties might be your answer!
ReplyDeleteThat’s a good idea, thanks!
DeleteWhat beautiful scenery and those flowers are very pretty! It looks like your garden is doing great! I love anything that comes in miniature containers. Those bows are fantastic, that is a shame there were only two.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! I may go back and see if there are more but I think the Aldi finds don’t get replenished :(. So far so good with the garden…
DeleteThose bows are so cute! The scenery looked gorgeous. I bet egg roll in a bowl and manicotti were so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather! The area is really beautiful and the combo of dishes being really good together surprised me!
DeleteI tried my hand at the egg roll in a bowl once and it didn't turjn out great. I'd try it again though.
ReplyDeleteYou should try it again! I’ve tried a few. This one is my favorite. I’ll post it soon as I’m not at home right now. It’s a low carb meal for sure (unless cabbage has a lot of carbs).

ReplyDeleteThe bows are such a great Aldi find!
ReplyDeleteI love the lit bows! I am changing up my porch and decorating it red, white, and blue for the USA’s 250th birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe scenery was gorgeous, with waterfalls too.
And I have not had Manicotti in a long time. Thanks for the reminder.
Is it Friday yet? Thinking of you doing a happy dance!
What a saga of the a/c! I hope that part comes in soon and thankful it will be a little cooler over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThose bows are so cute! I love a good Aldi find!
