April Lacrosse
Jacob's lacrosse team has now played four games. They are 3-1- not bad at all. The one loss they had was to an A team. Since Jacob's team is a B team, they should not have had to play an A team. Against B teams they are 3 and 0. Jacob also scored for the first time in the third game. He was thrilled to finally get the ball in the net, not once but two times. He also had an assist in that same game for our 7-3 victory over a Dayton team.
His first goal was beautiful. The goalie had the ball and he sent it sailing down the field (I'm not sure what the correct word is when the goalie gets rid of the ball). Jacob caught the ball (not something you can count on happening- that ball is small and not all goalies get the ball down field very far and near an attackman), ran through a couple of defenders and took a shot that went in. His second one was when he was playing the X position. He had the ball behind the net, swung around quickly to the side/ front of the goal, and scored. He acted lot more "cool" about scoring the second time around than he did the first time. The second time he scored, he was like, "Yeah, I'm a scorer. No big deal. Let's move on!"
He's just scored and is doing a mild celebratory arm movement thing with a teammate.
With the ball behind the goal...
It's hard to see the ball, but it is in mid air in this picture.
I think he took a shot here and missed. I know that I didn't get his second goal on camera at all.
With the ball to pass to number 36...
