Welcome Fall
In spite of, or maybe because of, nature refusing to acknowledge fall (temps continually in the upper 70's to 80's last week), I decided to take matters into my own hands and make a fall dessert. I searched long and hard for the right fall dessert and eschewed popular options like pumpkin anything, spice anything, etc. and settled on chocolate and peanut butter. The combo sounded rich and dark and stick to your bones like any good fall recipe should. What I made was essentially a peanut butter cup in a 9 by 13 pan. Delish! The kids went nuts for it. Jacob asked if I could make this every week. I told him not to count on that. I don't plan on buying all new clothes for me and if I made this every week, my clothing size would go up by several sizes quickly. It was really, really, really good and virtually impossible to eat only small quantities of at a time.
My 9 by 13 peanut butter cup
I thought using a pumpkin cookie cutter would enhance the appearance of the dessert.
Not that it matters what these babies look like...
Just five ingredients- peanut butter, butter, powdered sugar, graham crackers and chocolate chips. Just google (or duck duck go) Nestle No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
Happy Fall! The temperature is bound to drop soon...
