Showstopper Dance competition

We had another busy weekend.  Jacob had a soccer tournament this past weekend in Hamilton and Abby's last "regular" competition was this past weekend in Columbus.  Abby's schedule was unusual; she didn't perform until late Saturday and then early Sunday and late Sunday.  We didn't get home until 10:00 pm on Sunday.  Yikes!  The only good thing about that schedule meant that we didn't have to spend the night in Columbus on Friday night.  That worked out great since Jacob had an early soccer game as part of the tournament.  The girls and I didn't go to it.  It was cold out and Jacob and Donnie had to leave super early.  After the boys arrived home (they lost their first game.... and their second... and tied their third), Abby, Giovanna, Kristen and I headed to Columbus.  The competition was held near Easton Shopping center and since Abby didn't have to perform until 7:30, we did us some shoppin'!  We ate well and each bought a few things at Easton before heading to our hotel to get ready for the competition.  The competition went well.  Abby won her category (Open- she does quite a few gymnastics tricks) and came in 8th overall in her age group (9-11).  There were many girls competing so she did a great job.  Her group routines did well, too.  It was a good competition; I just hated getting home so late on Sunday.

Eating...

Wishing they were shopping here... We now know the location of where the American Girl store will be and that it will open in June.  The next time we're here, we're going to be in here, not just standing outside!

Waiting for their pictures to be printed after posing in the photo booth...

The took more pictures of their dolls and one with their dolls and them in the picture.

Abby and Giovanna pose with their group routine trophies (those will go to the studio since it wasn't an individual performance).
