Soccer pics
Jacob's soccer team lost 4 -2 on Friday. Jacob hates losing, but he loves scoring and he scored one of our team's two goals. Scoring a goal provides a little sweetness to the bitter pill of losing. He scored by head balling a shot in the goal from a teammate's corner kick. Better yet: a parent from the opposing team came up to us after the game and asked if we were the parents of the kid who scored the head ball. This parent had a huge camera around his neck and I was pleased that the reason he asked us that was because he said he had taken some shots of the head ball Jacob had into the goal. We swapped emails and he sent us these beauties:
Jacob (in the white in the air) has just made contact with the ball. It's hard to see in the picture because the picture is so small, but the ball is right behind Jacob's head.
Here, Jacob is back on the ground and the ball is momentarily on the ground too...
The ball has bounced up and into the net. You can see it just outside the reach of the goalie (in the orange shirt)
Jacob looks proud of himself!
