Springboro Lacrosse
Jacob is playing lacrosse for the first time on a boys fifth and sixth grade team. He really wanted to play it; we did nothing to encourage it but allowed him to try it out. He likes it so far. His team has lost all of its games (just two) but his coach said that is not surprising given how many boys on his team are like Jacob and playing this year for the first time. Other teams they're playing have kids who on their teams who've been playing for awhile. It definitely makes a difference as specific skills are used to get the little ball into the opponent's goal. Jacob played well the game I saw him play last weekend. He got off three shots and one looked so close that the parents on our sideline started clapping. I could see that the ball hadn't gone in. Rats! Jacob was not too disappointed that they lost. They were playing Centerville who's good in everything. Jacob has lost enough games in enough sports to Centerville that he's pretty much come to accept it! I do hope the team gets some wins.
