Abby and I traveled to Indianapolis Friday evening so that Abby could compete in the Starpower dance competition on Saturday. Only the girls from her dance studio performing solos competed. The small groups did not participate. Abby really enjoyed performing and did quite well! She finished first in her age group in her category, jazz, and finished 6th overall in her age group. She also received a special judges award, the Girl Power award. She loved being on stage by herself and did get too nervous. She is looking forwarding to competing again. At the next competition only the small groups will be performing; the girls doing solos won't be. Abby is bummed about that. My little performer... I was nervous, that's for sure! After the competition, we traveled north to Huntington to meet Abby's new baby cousin and to see Sophie and Ceci.
