Zooz

On our second full day in Canada, we took the kids to a zoo/splash park called Zooz (soon to be renamed Niagara Safari). Katy's family has a season pass to this fun place that is part playground, part splash park and part zoo. Ceci loves animals so it was a natural fit for them. My kids don't particularly like animals and because of this I don't go out of my way to take them to zoos. Since we were here and the place was more than a zoo, I figured they would like it. They did enjoy it quite a bit. The splash park felt good on the hot sunny day that it was. The zoo part was fun; my kids, while not liking animals did appreciate seeing monkeys, giraffes, a brown bear, rhinos and other animals they don't normally see. Ceci fed a giraffe (not allowed, not surprisingly, but was it her fault the giraffe could reach its head to her level where she fed it leaves?). We also took a paddle boat ride there. What fun!!!

Later in the late afternoon/ evening, while on a walk, we decided on an impromptu visit to the lake. I walked back to the house to get swimsuits. The girls changed right on the beach (there was no one around). They didn't care. We had to take advantage of the water while we were there!
