Niagara Falls

On our last day in Canada, we packed a picnic lunch in the morning and headed to the city of Niagara to see Niagara Falls, praying that the forecast would be correct and the gray clouds and rain would turn to sunny skies in the afternoon. We did get our wish, not that the kids really cared :-). They had already seen Niagara Falls once, in November. The kids aren't old enough to appreciate the uniqueness of the falls; for all they know, every state and province could have them. They did appreciate the ordinary natural surroundings of the falls: trees and rocks to climb and the man made ones: a fountain wherein they not only tossed a penny but from which Jacob actually retrieved money (thereby negating his wish at a minimum, I'm sure!). Seeing the falls was a great ending to our trip (at least for me). Good bye, southern Ontario, hello southern Ohio!

After dinner on our last day, we went to Arlene's house (Scott's mom) to make S'mores. Actually, that was the best ending we could have had for our trip!!
