Mead Cup

Jacob's soccer team participated in the Mead Cup soccer tournament over Labor Day weekend. It's a large one, and Jacob's team was placed in the highest bracket for its age group. The boys won four games to make it to the final, where they succumbed to another undefeated team. They lost the final game 2-6. They played well the entire tournament; the games were fun to watch.

Abby and Alyssa show their Alliance spirit by wearing Alliance jerseys (given to us by a club member family whose daughter played when she was young).

Jacob races to the ball.

The girls enjoy playing on playground equipment when the parks have playgrounds (most of them do).
Alyssa climbs up a slide.
The boys and the referee make their way to the field together to begin the final game.
The boys' disappointment at not winning the final game was tempered when they saw the size of their runner up trophies (the top of Jacob's fell off before we had arrived home; now his is not so big!).
The Runners Up- The boys did a great job! We're all proud of them.
