Pools & Boat Ride
The Hyatt had three awesome pools. The baby pool, frequented by Alyssa, had sprinklers that all the little kids liked to run through. The big pool was large and curved around such that part of the pool was indoors (alas I took no pictures of this). In addition, it had a basketball hoop in it that Donnie and Jacob loved. The very hot tub was an oasis of warmth on cool evenings. We'd warm up in the hot tub and then have s'mores at the fire pit. Yes, life was rough at the Hyatt.
Through the hotel, you could also book a sailing on a boat called the Sierra Cloud. We took the two hour cruise one afternoon. We really enjoyed getting to see more of the lake and talking to the guides that were on the boat. The kids had never been on a boat before, so this was truly a unique experience. At the end of the boat ride, several of the other passengers commented on how good our kids were (honestly I don't know if they were being sarcastic or not as Alyssa was running around like a maniac for part of the time :-).
