We flew into Sacramento because the flights were cheaper and of a shorter duration. We spent the night in Sacramento and stayed there for a few hours before driving to Lake Tahoe. Had we not missed our flight, we would have had a longer stay in Sacramento. We went to a small amusement park in Sacramento called Funderland. Described as a park for kids ages 2 -12, it sounded like a good fit for our kids. In reality, it is probably a park better for kids ages 2 -7. Jacob did enjoy the roller coaster but was bored with pretty much everything else. Still he was a trooper. The girls enjoyed just about everything at Funderland.
