Monthly Musings
1. Anything with floral prints. I also start wearing my white jeans after not wearing them much in the fall or winter. I know that wearing white in the winter is not a faux pas anymore but I still prefer to wear them in the spring and summer.
Still waiting to wear these spring, summery shoes. Hopefully really soon...
2. I love the scent of fresh air- opening windows for the first time each spring and smelling the outside air inside is a favorite
3. Go to spring meals- I don't change my meal rotations up much except for making less soup as the weather warms up.
4. Spring dessert recipe- carrot cake seems springy to me. I don't make it super often but every time that I do, people comment on how good it is.
I use this recipe from Delish for it.
5. Spring traditions- celebrating Easter, my birthday, the end of the school year; planting flowers, general spruce up of the yard- things like that!
6. Spring cleaning hack- I'm afraid that I don't have one.
7. Will I plant a garden? Yes, a small one.
It's enjoyable to watch plants and produce grow over the course of a growing season...
8. Spring rain- love or hate? Oh that is a good question and definitely depends. As a general rule, I like rain anytime. It's good for the grass, I like the sound of it, and I don't mind gloomy days as they conjure up thoughts of curling up with a good book and reading or baking something yummy in the kitchen. However, if I have plans to do something outside, I do not want rain.
9. Favorite spring flower- Probably tulips but I love them all.
10. Spring travel- Alyssa and I went to Florida for spring break. That's about all in the travel department for us in this spring.

I love the florals and may try to plant a few things this year. I would love to have some fresh tomatoes. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou should try some planting! Tomatoes are pretty easy to grow (I'd definitely do some cursory reading up on the subject for tips but overall, they are easy to grow). Thanks, and you have a good weekend, too!
DeleteI wish I could keep vegetable plants alive long enough to enjoy a bounty from them.. but every time I try they all end up dying. I love that you've had that tank top for so long; it still looks like it's in great shape too. Aren't fabrics that really hold up over time just the best?!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanne! I think one key to the top staying in good shape is that I don't wear it very often. I only wear it on really hot days when I'm going to be outside a lot (which is why I wore it at Disney... in July!). I had several years of not being able to grow tomatoes which was discouraging since EVERYONE here in Ohio who has a garden grows them readily. I did some reading up on them and followed tips and was finally able to grow them. So I would encourage you to not give up on trying to grow something ;).
