Winter Party

Abby's teacher asked me to come in and help out with the kids' winter party held on the last day of school before break.  I was pleased to be asked since the room mom for Alyssa's class didn't ask me to help with their classroom party.  The school is very strict in how many volunteers can come in for parties because of limited parking.  Abby's teacher also asked Kristen, Giovanna's mom to help, so Kristen and I rode to the school together.  It was nice catching up with her for a little bit!

The kids had a lot of fun at the party.  Abby's teacher had the activities all planned out and just needed volunteers for the stations.  I helped the kids construct hot cocoa packages and did a contest where the kids drew a snowman on a paper plate placed on their heads so they couldn't see what they were drawing.  The results were hilarious and the kids enjoyed looking at everyone's drawings.

Afterward, Abby drew a snowman that she could see (the one on the left).  The snowman on the right is the one that she drew without seeing.

The kids also played a game where they put a cookie on their eyelid and then without using their hands, they tried to move the cookie into their mouths.  Let's just say that a lot of cookies wound up on the floor!

Abby actually got one in her mouth!
