StarPower Nationals

Abby and I spent the first full week of July in Orlando, Florida for a national dance competition.  We travelled and stayed with Kristen and Giovanna.  The competition was held at the Dolphin resort on Disney property.  We made reservations and purchased plane tickets well before the competition schedule came out.  We were hoping we'd get to go to the parks some of the days.  We were not disappointed; we ended up getting to go to the parks two full days and one almost full day.

The dance competition went well.  Abby and Giovanna scored second overall with their tap duo.  Individually, Abby won her category and came in 6th overall in her age group.  She also came in second in Compulsory, earning her a huge trophy.  The days that Abby danced were long days but it was well worth it!

We arrived in Orlando in the early afternoon on Monday, the 1st.  That famous Florida sun was nowhere to be seen!!

After the girls were done competing, we ate a quick lunch and then headed to the pool. The pool area was so nice. There was a water slide, a huge fountain and several swimming areas.

On Thursday, the 4th, Abby competed her solos. She did great and loved getting some trophies!
