Worst weekend ever?

Last weekend was a low point in the Rineer family chronicles.  We were all sick except for Abby.  I don't know how she remained unscathed but she did.  Alyssa started things off on Friday.  She woke up with a fever.  She was in bed the whole day.  The next day Donnie and I felt awful.  I was in bed the whole day.  Saturday evening into Sunday, Jacob got it.  We just weren't in good shape!  What did we miss?  Well, it wasn't all bad as it turned out.  Alyssa did miss her last basketball game, her indoor soccer training, and her basketball team's party.  That was bad.  Jacob, on the other hand, did right by falling sick when he did.  He had two lacrosse games on Sunday afternoon.  The high Sunday was 33 degrees.  I did not want to sit outside and freeze.  So, Jacob's sickness had a huge silver lining.  His team  lost both games anyway so really, I feel like we lost out on NOTHING in that regard!  Alyssa ended up missing school through Thursday of the next week.  Poor thing...  I have only one picture from our "sick time."

If I played Connect 4 once, I played it five hundred times!  It was a great game to play.  The games are quick, require visual, and not a whole lot of mental acumen (unless you really want to win which I didn't).  Alyssa could be laying down practically and still play.  We placed the blue game board inside the cardboard to give it a steady surface on which to stand.
