4th Grade Party

In the 4th grade at Dennis West, Halloween parties are done differently than in other grades.  The party takes place in the cafeteria.  Tables are pushed together to form two long lines of tables.  Every fourth grader participating in the party brought a predesignated item to share with the entire grade to form a huge buffet.  Some classes brought veggies, some brought fruit, some brought cheese, crackers and chips, some brought drinks and some (us) brought sweet treats.  Abby's class was in charge of bringing in brownies and cookies.  The kids had a great time piling their plates with veggies junk food.  There was so much food that many couldn't resist going back for seconds or thirds.  Abby had celery (wow!) with dip, a few chips and maybe one cookie.  After most kids had eaten one plate of food, the dancing began.  The kids and some brave teachers danced to Thriller, the Chicken Dance and the Electric Slide.   Of course my Dancing Queen danced.  She had fun with her friends and Julie.
