Five games and a playdate

Jacob has four basketball games this weekend and one indoor soccer game.  He's actually playing basketball right now; because of Abby's dance practice, the girls and I aren't at it.  With the amount of time the games take, it was a pleasant surprise to fit a play date in on Saturday.  His first game didn't start until 3:50 on Saturday so he played (or "hung out" as he prefers) with Nick for a few hours on Saturday.  Nick used to live right behind us and the close proximity of our houses afforded numerous play dates that could be and were, interrupted, when one had to run home for something.  He could run home, do whatever needed done there, and then come back for more playtime.  All that changed when Nick's family moved at the end of 2011.  They're still in Springboro but not in our neighborhood.  That means that we parents must, gasp, do something to make getting the boys together possible.  I much preferred the old method of boys running 100 yards to the other's house, but, alas, it isn't to be.  Of course the boys don't get together as much as they did before.  But, they are still friends and as long as they want to get together, I'll do my part :-).

Calvin and Stephen came over, too.  I tried to sneak a picture of the boys because I know that Jacob does not like his picture taken.

Busted!  "What the heck, mom? Put the camera down!"
