Mid Summer

When I looked at the calendar yesterday, I noticed that this week is exactly the middle of the kids' summer vacation.  And, in yesterday's newspaper ads, the very first crop of back to school ads were displayed.  I told Jacob about this and he said, "that just isn't right!"  Well, I agree with him, but sadly have to say that the second half of summer break will go by quicker than the first half.  Everything seems to get more hectic the closer to school we get. 

Jacob's summer so far has consisted of playing with friends (Karlie, AJ, Nick), texting Ally, going to two basketball camps, playing basketball in a Kingdom league and playing Fantage.

Abby's summer has consisted of playing with Alyssa (or Kissers as she calls her).  They either play Barbies or pretend their moms.  Abby is also really into Fantage and playing with Karlie.  She is looking forward to VBS in a couple of weeks.

Alyssa's summer has consisted of playing with Abby, playing with Avery, James and Jacob.  Her swimming has really taken off.  She swims quite comfortable under water and floats on her back.  She loves to be in the water. 

All of the kids are staying up late, sleeping in (except Jacob!) and going to Kings Island about once a week.

They are all having a great summer and don't want it to end!!  Here are few pictures from a recent trip to the pool.
