Abby in Orlando

Abby and I spent last week in Orlando, Florida.  At the Starpower dance competition in Columbus in April, Abby was invited to partcipate in PowerPak, a week long dance tour run by the organizers of Starpower dance competition.   The dancers who participated in PowerPak took classes during the week covering various dance forms and also had rehearsals for a routine that they performed at Downtown Disney and at the Starpower National dance competition.  We shared a hotel room with a dancer from Abby's dance studio, Kristina, and her mom and little sister Samantha.  Abby had a blast hanging out with the girls; she complained a little about the classes.  The performances went smoothly and Abby did a double back handspring as part of the performance.  After the Downtown Disney performance, we headed to Magic Kingdom for a few hours.  Then it was time for the award gala back at the hotel.  Abby won a scholarship for next year!  Our trip home was uneventful but for Abby's FOUR hour nap.  She was that wiped out!
