I think it's kinda fun to answer these questions after Valentine's Day. Love is often on the mind in the weeks leading up to VD but then it's not something you typically think about. That said, most of my answers are on the puny side- 

1. I'm not 100% sure but I will go with words of affirmation.

2. I like Your Song by Elton John quite a bit. I don't know if it's my favorite. It is what came to mind so that's what I'm going with!

3.  Chocolate- 

Flowers are beautiful but... lowers fade then die and you have to deal with throwing them out. Granted chocolate doesn't exactly endure. But, it, too, is  beautiful- those molded shapes of confection- even if it's just a rectangle, could be construed as exquisite in their own way.  So with chocolate, you get to behold something beautiful (granted not as traditionally beautiful, on average, than a typical flower bouquet but beautiful nonetheless) that your loved one has gifted you. You get to anticipate eating it and then finally, you get to enjoy eating it. 

4. I'm not a big romcom fan though I'm sure I've liked some that I've seen. None come to the top of my head. Donnie and I recently did try to watch a romcom with Amy Adams that came out back in 2010. It was rated PG which I thought sounded so quaint- it seems like just about anything short of a cartoon is rated PG-13 or worse. It was called Leap Year. It was not good. It was too dumb to continue watching making it the second time in as many weeks that we jumped ship when watching a too mind numblingly awful to even laugh about it movie. (The movie before Leap Year that we stopped watching was Netflix's Anyone But You. So bad! Make that, any movie but this one (...and Leap Year 😆)

5. I don't think my mom did it every year, but some years, she made Valentine's Day sugar cookies in the shape of a heart. She frosted the cookies and then wrote little sayings or words on them a la conversation heart candy. They looked and tasted amazing!

6. We celebrated a little bit differently than we expected. Jacob ended up joining us! He was headed up to the Dayton area on Saturday so came to our house after work on Friday. We had dinner at home together and spent the evening with him. 

7. I can't think of any if we do!

8. When someone sincerely expresses it and the person's actions match his or her words!

9. Chill at home!

10. Oh yes, red and/or pink on Valentine's Day and during the whole Valentine's Day season.

I'm not a consummate selfie taker... but I snapped a few last year when I went prom dress shopping with Alyssa last February. This is one of my heart sweaters. I have another one that I also wear in season.
