Prom

Jacob went to the prom last weekend (April 14). I can't provide any details as to the event itself; Jacob is taciturn by nature and by the fact that he's a teenager.  Giving details about the prom to his mom was simply not going to happen. I texted him at one point in the evening and asked if he was having fun. He replied, "Yeah." He spent the night at a friend's house and the next day when we asked him how prom was, he said it was "fun." So, two "fun" affirmatives about prom is all we have. Oh, but we have photos so it's all good. I mean, not photos taken during prom (those are likely lurking somewhere in Snapchat's ethereal realm) but rather photos taken before the prom.

Jacob and his date, Lexi, met up with their group at A & S Party Rental in Franklin. One of the guys in his group works at A & S which is why they all met up there for pictures. We parents joined them at A & S to get pictures. I thought all A & S provided were inflatable bounce houses for parties but I was wrong. They provide tablescapes and drapery for weddings, the latter of which was the perfect backdrop for photos. The owners of A & S were extremely gracious- they offered us bottled water and wine (the wine was for the adults only (obviously)) as the parents chatted and took pictures.

Not sure why we look so incredibly different in size. I mean, he's bigger than I am but not that  much bigger.
