Easter (sort of)
We celebrated Easter a week early since we would be gone on Easter. The kids would miss grandma's Easter Egg hunt so I decided to have one at our house. The girls were excited about looking for the eggs; Alyssa had Easter eggs hunts earlier at school and at Bright Beginnings so she and Abby had been talking about hunts. Jacob was not interested in the hunting but he was interested in the candy inside. I hid the eggs in the basement. We first read from the Bible the account of Jesus' death and his resurrection and I tried to engage in conversation with the kids about what this meant for us. With the prospect of candy before them, all they could think about was Hershey's and Reese's. All kidding aside, I am so thankful for the resurrection. I've told the kids there's bound to be candy in heaven so maybe there is a tie- in...
