Springboro has a program that allows incoming kindergartners to ride the bus for the first time prior to the first day of school. The kids (& parents) meet at the school, where, after a rather long informational meeting is held by the head of transportation, the kids get to go on a short bus ride. Alyssa and I did this on Wednesday. She was so excited to ride the bus. I'm glad I was with her to be a part of it. During the meeting we sat with fellow classmates and neighbors Meenackshi and her mom and Jacob and his mom. We were separated from Meenackshi after the meeting, so the three kids didn't sit together- just Alyssa and Jacob. After the short ride, we went into the school and looked at their classroom. This experience made Alyssa even more excited about school starting. I made a slideshow and couldn't resist adding some pictures from when Jacob and Abby did this.
