Happy Birthday Lyss!
Alyssa turned FIVE on Wednesday. She was really looking forward to the big day! She had preschool in the afternoon and I arranged to bring snacks- powdered donuts- her favorite. When I picked her up, she was wearing a birthday crown. Abby had dance and Donnie had a doctor's appointment late in the afternoon so dinner was kind of rushed, but it was McDonald's so Alyssa loved it! After we ate, Alyssa opened most of her presents from us (some still weren't wrapped). After everything she opened, she exclaimed, "I love it!" Now she's looking forward to her party with friends at Bounce U on Saturday.
Here are some facts about Alyssa:
* She still mispronounces many words (certain I should be correcting her but I find these mispronunciations endearing...). She says "lif" instead of with, for example.
* She had been going into Jacob's room in the middle of the night and sleeping in his bed. Jacob likes this but one downside is that she wakes up when he does in the morning (early).
* Alyssa loves to play Barbies with Abby, games with Donnie and me, sports with Jacob and to play in general with her friends. She plays "teenager" a lot when she plays with friends.
* She doesn't enjoy watching TV. She says it's boring. The one and only show she always wants to watch is Caillou. Occasionally she'll watch Max & Ruby.

Alyssa received two Tech Decks. Jacob recently introduced her to these.
