Full Circle

Abby lost one of her front teeth about a week ago. I am still not used to seeing her gap tooth smile, although I can safely say now that I won't need therapy to get over the loss of this little tooth that will be replaced by a great big one that will make her look more and more grown up. Ok, maybe I do need therapy... Abby had the biggest gap in her front teeth when her two front teeth came in as a baby. As her other teeth came in and as time passed, the gap between her two front teeth lessened. By age five, she had the cutest set of baby teeth you could imagine; I started lamenting the inevitable loss of her baby teeth well before she lost her first on this past summer. Now that she's missing a front tooth, she once again has a gap in front teeth.

This picture of her at 15 months doesn't show the gap super well because it's not up close, but it's there all right...

Abby taped this to our bed the evening she lost her tooth. It's easy to understand why I want this sweet girl to stay little for a long time!!
