Fall

I know it isn't technically fall yet, but I was reading a weather website and it said that meteorologists consider September 1st to be the beginning of fall.    There was a scientific reason presented why they consider this so- regarding record compilations of highs and lows or something like that.  I'm not too concerned with that, just happy to be in "fall" before the end of September.  I am ready for fall!  The kids are in school, I'm tired of extremely hot days and bugs, and I'm ready to embrace a new season.  With that said, I was happy to celebrate the long weekend and usher in fall. 

Joe and Amy and kids Carly and Mallory came to visit with us.  The weather didn't turn out to be nearly as bad as predicted so we were able to spend some time with the kids outside.  My kids loved hanging out with Mallory- she's 1 1/2 and as cute as can be.  Carly and Alyssa played quite a bit, too, in the basement and in Alyssa's room.
