Leaf lovers
A very exciting event took place last week- I bought a rake for our front yard! Our five year old beech tree loses the majority of its leaves in December- far too late in the season to enjoy raking and jumping in the leaves. As the lil' tree is slowly but surely getting bigger every year, its mid fall leaf loss is occurring at a rate that, for the first time, enabled the kids to enjoy the fall bounty.
Abby and Alyssa were so excited when I raked enough to accumulate a little pile. The pile was small; but their standard so low (no leaf piles) that it didn't matter. They had fun.
